The key to successful training

One of Wellness Studios’ main ideas is to help and support members to succeed with their training. This idea permeates the entire company – from purchasing training equipment to the customer reception and when designing the individual training sessions. Another important part is an access control system that make the gyms available even when they are unmanned.

“We are constantly working to lower all the thresholds that might get in the way of anyone who wants to exercise or wants to start training,” says Anders Weinsjö, who owns and runs Wellness Studio together with two colleagues. “It must be easy to workout and the best exercise is the one that actually happens,” he points out.

High accessibility makes it easy to exercise

This means, for example, that the staff at Wellness Studio not only helps members find the right exercise program, but also works hard to help them find the right motivation.

Using the same way of thinking, the company has chosen to put many of its facilities in smaller communities. “We want to be where people live and exist,” says Anders. “In order to satisfy all training requirements, we also make sure that the facilities in the small resorts have generous opening hours and a wide range of different types of gym equipment, often equipped with the very latest technology.”

“We are probably a little bit of tech nerds,” Anders admits, “according to our suppliers we are very quick to embrace new technology and new trends that makes the exercising more efficient and more fun.”

Anders and his colleagues realized early on that high accessibility to the gym was a prerequisite for their business concept to work. They looked for a solution that made it easy for members to train at the gym even when they are unmanned. “Then I came in contact with Bernt Karlsson at Areff, who was able to offer us a smooth access control system.”

“Whether we have a simple ordering of tags or if we have acquired a new gym and need help with migrating information from another access control system, it is safe and easy to turn to Areff to get help”

Access control system with many functionalities

Over the years, the system has expanded and gained more features. The original access cards have been replaced by a keyfob, keyfobs, which not only open the entrance door but can also be used to book workouts and pay at the vending machine. “We have always had a good dialogue with the people at Areff to find suitable products and systems that can develop our business,” Anders notes.

The customer service and support are at the same high level. “Whether we have a simple ordering of tags or if we have acquired a new gym and need help with migrating information from another access control system, it is safe and easy to turn to Areff to get help”, says Anders Weinsjö.
